GLoBALL enables international students and new migrants
to interact with the broader Victorian community through
FREE Australian Rules and Cricket related activities. Register and you will get a chance not only to make new
friends but also to enjoy a range of free activities including:
Plus other FREE activities include:
- Super Clinics (try your Australian Rules Football skills with Essendon footy players)
- Experience some great Australian Culture and the passionate sporting atmosphere
- Learn about two of the most exciting Australian Sports
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
There are 3 ways to become a GLoBALLer
1) PARTICIPANTS (International Students and New Migrants)
GloBALL participants get access to full range of GLoBALL activities by simply registering on our website.
Who can be GLoBALL Participants?
- International Students (*Local students are also welcome to get involve as Ambassadors and volunteers; see below)
- Exchange Students
- New Migrants (People holding permanant residency visa or recently granted Australian Citizenship)
- People on Humanitarian and Refugee visas
- People on Visitor Visas
- People on Bridging Visas
2) AMBASSADORS
Ambassadors assist groups of international students and new migrants in arriving at and making the most of
footy and cricket games. They may also try
their skills and help out at other GLoBALL events.
Who can be a GLoBALL Ambassador?
- Local people interested in sharing their knowledge about footy or cricket
and in supporting the GLoBALL goal of Strengthening Communities Through Sport.
- International Students and New Migrants who have been in Australia long enough to have
gained considerable Footy/Cricket knowledge and are happy to induct new intenational
students and migrants into Victorian society.
- EFC Members & members of other Footy and Cricket clubs
- Multicultural volunteers
- Teachers from universities and colleges, etc
- Domestic Students
3) VOLUNTEERS
GLoBALL is not for profit program which relies on volunteers for its operations. Apart from volunteering
as an Ambassador you can be further
involved with GLoBALL by volunteering your skills to help run the program.
Who can be GLoBALL Volunteer ?
Anyone who...
- Wants to gain cultural training and experince
- Is committed, hardworking and passionate
- Enjoys working with and meeting new people
- Wants to obtain intership/work experince
