Website Winner Announced
One lucky Bomber fan has been called upon by the Essendon cricket team to showcase her batting and bowling abilities in the Australia Day Goes GloBALL cricket match, proudly supported by iPrimus.
Rebekah Carlin was announced as the essendonfc.com.au website competition winner after she registered her interest in playing alongside her childhood heroes on Australia Day.
“It will be an absolute honour to play alongside James Hird and Jobe Watson and I literally cannot believe I have been chosen to play, it really is a dream come true. I can’t stop shaking.” Rebekah excitedly stated.
Rebekah is delighted to be doing battle against the DEC Bushrangers as a member of the Bombers team and is looking forward to the challenge of playing in opposition to the likes of John Hastings and Andrew McDonald .
The Australia Day Goes GloBALL cricket match will take place in recognition of the partnership between the Essendon Football Club and Cricket Victoria supporting the GloBALL program.
Launched in 2009, the GloBALL program is a joint initiative run by the Essendon Football Club and Cricket Victoria which aims to help international students and newly arrived migrants settle into life in Australia.
